Could Someone Please Post a Picture of their Remington Model 31 Buttplate?
Could someone please post a picture of their Remington model 31 buttplate, preferably of a U.S. marked M31 or at least WWII era? I can't find any other decent pictures of that end of a "property" marked M31 and its the only thing I need to verify on my M31. Did they use the same mottled brown bakelite buttplates as on the wartime Model 11's?
.... Or describe a known example of a buttplate.

This pic isn't my gun. Mine was a full length and I cut it to riot. I don't remember what it had on it. Brown is typical of older buttplates though. I have an earlier 870 and it has a brown buttplate.
For the record, it is now confirmed that Remington used the same brown Bakelite buttplate on both their World War II period Model 11 and Model 31 shotguns.
This is a posting of a picture of the type of buttplate in question to revive the utility of this thread after the pictures were lost. That is all.
