Probably a lot higher... The Notebook shows 405,000 completed at SA by February 4th and an order for 100K started two days before:
February 2, 1942 XO-777-1 Started Rifles in order 100,000
February 4, 1942 XO-3570-4 Finished TOTAL RIFLES 405,625
Real men measure once and cut.

Of course it would be. I was one year out of whack with memory of my own LL 328219 SA barrel date... I was thinking mine was made in '42. Long time since I saw that rifle.

So with the proofing of the weapon did the US at the time use the short ton 2,000lbs as the standard measurement also would the English proofing be based on the imperial ton 2,240lbs.
