Blanco Brushes

Was there ever any "official" brush in the British army to apply Blanco and then brush off the surplus dust etc? Looking on the web there seems to be a variety of different brushes used to perform this task with the Imperial War Museum showing the pair of brushes below, titled brush (blanco). These 2 brushes appear very similar to the pair of brushes that I have set aside for blanco, however, they do appear to be just the generic British army clothes/boot-polishing bristle brush.

Those are the ones I used to have....actually had two sets, one unissued for the 'collection' and the other pair which I used for blanco'ing.

Here is my Blancoing kit.

What I don't know is if the brushes and plastic tray is military issue.

Good name for a product that probably induced plenty of swearing.

I see one as a hair brush and the other as a clothes brush (though I use one as a boot-polish brush).
