Joe Salter sold a "reproduction" a few years ago 36L1352.
Mine is 50L0026. The L-42 that sold a few years back is 50L0027.
There are a number of known serials well below 36L

These things do turn up at gun shows. I've found three stripped T's over the years; one a 1941 Maltby, the other an un-serialed LB with the pads set back about 1/4", and a 1944 M47C. It pays to turn them all over for a look.
