Think about them young men well boys really I think our last ANZAC enlisted when he was 14 the youngest recipient of the VC (Possibly) was 15 years 3 months Andrew Fitzgibbon 1845-1883.
Jack Cornwell was 16 years old when he was awarded a posthumous Victoria Cross after the Battle of Jutland.
In WWII we had young men not barely 18 flying spitfires/hurricanes in the BoB and in other armed services.
Today our 18 year old's I sadly shake my head for some want it all for nought, won't work to save themselves, living off welfare, no money to buy food but can buy coke a cola and take away's with the dabbling in certain dubious pass times.
Bob Seijasthat's the old story of the young bull and the old bull, a herd of cows down the bottom of the hill, the young one is all for running down there and having one.
Where as the older bull says why don't we walk down there and have them all !!!!! Such is the hard earned knowledge of old age?
