    FWIW - 'mark1' is correct.

    But, it is also true that the model 1901 sight for the Kragicon bears strong similarities to the 'trapdoor' Buffington designed sight.
    The model 1901 rear-sight was adopted for the Krag while Buffington was in command at Springfield Armory.
