As I'm sure you've found, looks like some version of a Velo-Dog. Belgian or Spanish knock off perhaps?

That's what I've been googling for weeks now trying to find this variant. The Belgian ones have a different extractor mechanism on the yolk. Some of the Spanish ones come closer, but have a small screw or a screw+screw-lock. Perhaps someone has been in this one before, and replaced the screw+screw-lock with a single large headed screw. Quite the job maybe. I'll keep looking.

Here's another similar. The loading gate lever is off though.

edit: one more. note the large screw. other slight differences...loading gate lever, 3 bands on the plunger rod. instead of 1.

Thing is about the Spanish like Velo-dog and Ruby and Ibar and so on...you can look forever and find variants but never find exactly the one you have. That's why parts are hard to get and I avoided them. When they come free then your problem starts. I wouldn't restore it as they will shoot it, I don't think they were EVER safe.

you have a good point. I doubt I'd get the chance to look inside it. I think that's a German eagle on the side of the cylinder, like the nickel plated one I found a pic of.
