A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I'd be worried about attracting an unwanted blue on blue with a patinated uniform that very closely resembled the German icon

In relation to my reference to the German icon

patination of their camouflaged equipment and gear.
Here is a German sniper captured see how his left leg seems to blend perfectly with the brick wall he is next to.
The story behind this pic is that a counter sniper team captured him and the spotter is covering the German as the Allied sniper with helmet (trophy) escorts him very lucky if he was captured by the Russians then his fate would have been horrid.

That was exactly the problem so the uniform was retired very shortly into campaign.

BAR beat me to it haha! Yes I remember reading the uniforms were changed because of that very fact
