That particular auctioneer some years ago worked out of an old school in Lymington Hampshire; on viewing day I went along and asked to look at a K98 and see what state the rifling was in. My request was refused even after offering to show them the variation on my FAC for said rifle, which incidentally was in my hand at the time.
