Mark-- Do you have any details on the photo? They look like soldiers from the PA National Guard, 28th Inf Div. The spit shine helmet liners with divisional insignia and rank dates from the mid to late 50's. The Ist shirts rain coat is the only one that look line its not wet. LOL!

600 members of the 109th leave for two weeks at Indiantown Gap
1st Sgt, Walter Dagger, of Lafayette St., takes notes on rifle inspections as directied by 1st Lt. James H. Jordan, of Swetland St., during an inspection of Headquarters Company, 109th Infantry, at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation in August 1948. Lt. Jordan was inspecting the rifle of Pvt. William Bryon of S. Irving Ave, during a rainstorm at the regiment's bivouac. PA National Guard Photo

Thanks Mark - I am a bit surprise that the Ist Shirt is not telling the young LT how stupid of an idea it was to inspect troops in the rain.
