Interesting the low serial numbers. What happened to them?

No 4 mk 1*
Year: 1943
SN: 24L3840 all matching throughout
Barrel: 2 Groove
Rear sight: Mk2
Alloy buttplate
Possibly sent to New Zealand
but I wanted to see what everyone here thought. Top of the receiver is marked NZ 3804 with an additional serial number on the butt band #38047. Photos should be attached.

This type of marking for a New Zealand
rifle has been seen before, so, yes, I'd agree that it was there.

I found a bolt body with serial number 29L0435.
If anyone has the rifle I'll see if I can get it to you.

Mine is No4 MK1 * 1944-- 60L2253, bolt matches. Flip 100-600 rear sight and no bolt release button. With "Y" stamped on right side of trigger band. No other discernable markings. Barrel Fair.
I have a lot more experience than expertise, still have both eyes and most of my fingers though.
