A good problem to have.
I drove up to Ohio last week to visit family. Had a lucky day at the Hartville Flea Market. A guy had bought out an old timer high power shooter of all his stuff. I landed a box of 250+ LC NM 30-06 brass, for $30, all 69 stamp. He had another 200 handloads I would have like to have bought and pulled - but I'd never shoot someone else's reloads and he wouldn't come down from $15 for a box of 20. Also found a few hand drills in really good condition. Usually the jaws are all worn out and slop in the chuck is too much to be useful - these were mint. Found a 1930's Remington portable with box and all its keys in working order. Fabulous. Needs a ribbon, clean and lube, and I'll need to soften the platen before it gets put to good use on my daughters desk.

A few days later, I drove to visit all the nephews on the other side of the state, but detoured to Camp Perry. I found a rack grade M1C that had to come home with me - another project in the queue. Also confirmed with the armorer that CMP is indeed having new gas cylinders made, with a very deep CMP stamp on the bayonet lug. I got one of those on a service grade the other year. They are very high quality.

I brought along an 1884 trapdoor, Winchester 1917, m1903, m1, 1903 unertl sniper, m1d, and a case of 400rds m2 ball I had gotten from CMP a few months earlier. We had quite the firing line going on at the farm. Boys had a blast ringing a steel gong out to ~350yds. We timed our shots perfectly to knock the frame over a couple times. When the daylight was gone, I had only 80rds left of 30-06, and the 100 45-70s I brought with 500gr projectiles (loaded with smokeless) were all gone. In addition to the several bicks of 22lr I always bring each the boys. All in all I'd say ~1000rds were fired. Priceless!

We did shoot the new rack grade m1c too after I carefully went over it. Not surprisingly with its 7+ throat and 5+ muzzle, it was all over the target - a 3ftx3ft plastic sheet at 100yds for zeroing. It's an early Vietnam rebuild, obvious with its manganese parking. Likely saw service too given how it's aged. has a 10/51 barrel. Hopefully I can find a new barrel and bring it back.
