The whole planet is pretty rife with civil unrest there is no good news anymore just poverty, war with many country's GDP's on the verge of collapse with soaring debt plus you cannot tell me the Ukraine episode is responsible for the calamity nations are facing.
They gave up on Africa because there is so much violence happening there on a daily basis plus starvation on an unprecedented scale that the world has put them on a backburner.
We sponsored 3 children from Uganda which is supposed to be the poorest nation there, over the space of 25 years hopefully our money was not eaten up by World Vision being top heavy, however it was good to see them progress scholastically or getting their first pair of shoes or a 2nd hand bike.

Well, folks, I have no idea how this thread flew under my radar this long! 
If you look back into the forum rules, you'll see that discussions of politics are not allowed on the forum, and for good reason: they always degrade into food fights. I'll just close out this thread from further posting. It has basically run its course anyway.
