Ok - thanks Jonnyc for your feedback.
The main purpose of this thread was to try to find someone who had an Israeli enfield No.4T sniper to see what it looked like compared to mine. No luck so far.
Thanks guys.

I can think of one 1944 Maltby with a "two down, one up" arrangement of the screws on the front pad, but a pad of the usual size rather than the "shallow" version seen on this rifle. They've been discussed here in the past, though of course most of the photos are AWOL now.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928
Much changes, much remains the same.

Whilst I no longer have any photo's, the Israeli rifle I owned many years ago was of the typical pattern, with that type of front pad, referred to above. The rear pad is also slightly different in profile. The bottom is squared off a tiny bit above the start of the receiver 'ledge radius' or 'ledge angle' (depending on rifle manufacturer & date), rather than following it. So, the rear pad is less deep than the typical UK
or Canadian
types. I only owned the one rifle, but observed several, & all were similar in this respect.
