Good luck sneaking up on this position at night great use of natural surroundings love it and those cacti offer no protection from Ma-Deuce's 50 cal rounds....

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Looks like WW2 photo, note the stripes with T and cloth belt for the 50 cal cartridges

Yes WW2 pic with a 1917 mount for the .50. I'm not so sure that's going to be very useful like that.

This picture was taken late 1942 or after since that is when they started adding the T to technician ranks. The soldier manning the .50 is a T/5 Technician 5th Class.
