I once had a decent 49/56 with all the goodies to include the scope and accessories. I really liked the rifle (and wished I gone for "hand select" as it was a little beat) but I finally decided I didn't want to reload for it (boxer primed brass, yea sure) and didn't like the safety me being left handed. But the 1944 and 49/56 are fine shooting, well made, and durable rifles. Enjoy your new treasure.Information
