Just an update, a couple of additions, but not on display yet, A Vampire, a Macchi to be mounted outside on pole and a Sabre.
Hiding inside one hanger is a Corsair, last one I saw had just pancaked.....but it is back in the air now.

Took the boss lady and the pooch out to the Airport for lunch.
Not expecting to see much, lads were working on dusting down displays, a couple were working on a Messerschmitt 109,

an addition since my last look was a Strikemaster in the process of being either done up as a static display or back to flying condition.

........and a pigeon pair of these.

    Good News Bad News.
The good news,Paul Bennet has purchased a De Havilland DH115 twin seat Vampire to be housed at the Scone Collection.
Not the one we were waiting for but a flying one is better than a static display any day.

The bad news is that Glen Collins, one of Pauls pilots, pancaked a Pitts Special at an airshow at Avalon and is badly beaten up.....our thoughts are with him.
    More pic's later.

Locally, the ME-262 replica flew again. It had been down for repairs for a year and they got it back up for Air Venture. This replica is built from the original plans and some of the original forms but is powered by Lear Jet engines for reliability.

How fast does that fly with those engines Bob? Having engines of that quality and dependability would have been a game changer.
