Early gas trap ferrule...is the stock correct
I have a stock that was on a Feb 41 receiver that has the early gas trap style ferrule. I don't think the stock is correct to the weapon, but I was wondering if the ferrule could be correct to the stock.
There appears to be a 5 digit number on the right side near the butt (it looks like 35099), a different four digit number in the concave barrel bed section and an odd symbol on the left front section of the stock. Pics included.

I had already figured out it was too early for 1941.
What about it makes it not Springfield? (just interested in learning)
