No 5 rifle grenade projector
Good Day All,
I was fortunate and found a No5 grenade projector for my Jungle Carbine. The previous owner was kind enough to sell it fir a very resonable amount. I confirmed the OD of the spigot is .863 or 21.9mm. There were three distinct markings on the device with one being a acceptance code with a crown and the letters IG followed by 822. What the other two numbering sequence indicates is unknown.
Regards,
Michael

Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

Projector
FlightRN,
The other numbers on your projector match the inventory designation in the CES posted by AdeE...and are different from the markings on my example and one belonging to a friend.

Per Skennerton “ Small Arms of WWII “ p.20, it appears there were at least two makers of this projector.
