I stopped by Camp Shelby once when I and a couple of my Engineer buddies had a weekend off from a joint training exercise with an American Red Horse unit in Gulfport MS. A lot of Texas Guardsmen have passed through Camp Shelby on their way to Iraq of Afghanistan.
