    Remington M1903 mystery Final

Ok. this will be my last post on this rifle. No cheers please...lol. To sum it all up.... This compilation of parts is from a M1903 Remington s/n 322xxxx with barrel dated 7/42. The S stock is a vintage Springfield with an AA rebuild stamp. The handguard was fitted with paper shims. The ladder sight has a small P stamp. The trigger has a S stamp. The trigger guard has a stamp that I have no idea what it is. The bolt assembly is a Smith-Corona with a Remington striker. I attached a montage of photos. I assume this rifle could not be an arsenal rebuild but perhaps a collector's rebuild.

I thank all for their input on this post and previous posts. Yeah, it is evidently a parts rifle. It is a beautiful parts rifle, the stock and handguard are pristine, the barrel is bright, clean and with strong rifling. The bolt and headspace are perfect. For $1000, I am proud to hang it on my wall.

Well, it's a nice clean example at any rate.

And tell us how it shoots when you take it off the wall next.

Every time I've tried to hang a rifle on the wall...my wife takes it down soon thereafter. I like your idea. Put it behind some curtains so I can quickly hide it when she enters the room. Should help with dust too.
