A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I would encourage anyone to read We Were Soldiers Once and Young. Very compelling read. Joe Galloway and Hal Moore created one of the best books on the Vietnam conflict. The Boys of 67 is a close second IMO.

Really a great read!
The final part, about the aftermath and the damage the war left behind on those soldiers and their families, is really shocking.
It took me a few days to “digest”…

I am glad you enjoyed it. Written by a fellow Mississippian. The Nat Geo documentary is good as well.
