    1903 RIA Receivers shipped to Springfield

    I have a RIA 1903 #389,XXX with a 4-27 Springfield barrel. Is my rifle likely one of the RIA finished receivers sent to Springfield to be built into completed rifles around 1926?

    Possible, but not likely. Your rifle's serial number falls in the range of the RIA 1919 National Match rifles. Virtually all Springfield-finished RIA receivers were above S/N 400,000.
