When I was first learning, my dad made my brother and I take the NRA hunter safety course. Then we used our own savings to buy 20ga bolt action shotguns. He was 12 and I was 13. We kept our guns and ammo in our rooms. Yes, we lived in a rural area. Can you imagine someone doing that today?
I always take a .22 to the range. They are a nice way to finish the day.

Had the No2 mk IV out the other day. Using Eley subsonics, no hearing protection required! Very fun. The Cooey sight works well.

Out again with the old trainer. 50 metres.
Only problem was light: my pupils started going mad every now and then. But still very satisfying shooting.
With the cheapest ammo I could buy: Geko Semi-Auto.

They shoot great. They're so heavy in most cases they sit steady and .22 ammo is accurate enough usually no matter how cheap it is.
