    I had a .44 Eagle here for a while, loaded down a bit using lead gas check bullets and Winchester ball powder. Had to balance the load, just part of a grain less and it wouldn't lock open on empty. Part of a grain more and it has a flash on firing. It handled the recoil well though, never used factory in it.

    The big "X" frames are exactly that. Far too much, they can't handle themselves. They develop cracks in the barrel at the muzzle break.
