    1/35th scale KV-1

Done ~ Trumpeter 1/35 KV-1 finished as a dusty/dirty mild use patina as their other one got shot out from under them.
I did a T34 with heavy Russianicon mud and that destroyed allot of the effort with the running gear hiding it so I go for a dirty look.
The kit itself was an old mold with plenty of flash a rather time consuming task especially the tracks.
Painted in Mr Color Russian Green as per plans everything else is Tamiya XF series with the exhaust plume a lacquer soot paint.
The decals proved problematic as they went over bolt heads and were quite large but I learnt a few tricks, so yeah they are not perfect but will do me.
The most fiddly bit was the tracks I only put in 1 half of the return rollers so the top part of the completed sagged track could just be placed easily.
Plus I did not glue the road wheels on left either end ones off so pulling them out a bit enabled the guide horns to be inserted.
Then with the front idler & rear sprocket just started fitted the front & rear road wheels pushed it all in, the track had not been fully glued one end was free.
The next headache was fitting the mud scraper bar into its location near the drive sprocket ended up cutting the locating tags off then easy peasy fitted.
Anyway that's it for this one have a Trumpeter 1/35 E-25 on the mat now.
    Thanks for looking.

Another fine example of the art. Exhaust details are on par with the last project, and the paint weathering looks really good as well.

Some of the models and dioramas in todays shows are absolutely fabulous I build to my ability and try to up skill along the way trying little bits at a time to hopefully improve.
After Andy's Hobby Headquarters 1/16th scale Tiger 1 that took me 8 months I opted to go down for a couple as I have 4 bears in the closet that are waiting to be built namely a 1/35th Karl Gerat Morser 40cm which is a huge model even in 1/35th scale, 1/16th scale Panther with 2,300 parts, 1/35th (Started it) 12.8cm Germanicon A/T gun, 1/35th Flak 36 with zundap M/C & crew.

There is also in 1/35th scale a Hetzer, Meng Panther (Full interior), Tamiya Tiger 1, Dragon Wittman command Tiger 1, another E-25 L70, Hobby Boss King Tiger with Henschel turret, Hobby Boss King Tiger early production Porsche turret with Zimmerit.
Plus my wife got the brainwave of boxes of 1/35 scale soldiers in squads German and American they are way last as I am not to good at doing figures anyway got plenty to keep my idle hands & mind active.

Long live the battles with the tile monster when small parts sproing out of the tweezers....................!!!!!

Also thank you for your kind compliments they assist me in moving forward with my abilities in building the models.
    Cheers CINDERS

    The E-25

E 25 progress ~ getting it together only drawback is the sloppy elevation fit in the mount I should have brass shimmed it.
Tried blu-tak as a counterweight but that is a fail anyway is what it is may have to tuck a bit under the front mantlet at a set elevation.
Anyway tracks are next going to the rubber ones as the KV 1 plastics ones were a PITA.
Then do the finishing touches weathering etc, thx for looking.
    Cheers.
