We did talk with him yesterday, he was very uncomfortable and wanted to move things along. His diagnosis is that the stones have all been broken up into a size that can pass on their own. They are also collecting in the bottom of her kidneys which doesn't make them easy to come out naturally. I jokingly started to ask if she did head stands if that would help but backed off at the last second.
She did not believe these stones were that large when detected but he looked at her records and they were this big two years ago. The oncologist saw them but didn't want to do anything about them due to her cancer treatments which he prioritized.
He then removed her stent. She can return to work now. He will see her in six months, do x-rays and monitor. It is his belief they will not grow again to be a problem in the near future. We did discuss diet changes which he was not very helpful.
He did come to me alone after the stent removal and said her weight is the biggest problem, something he should have told her because I've been saying it for years and you know how it goes when husbands tell their wives they are fat, not well.
She wants to go after them. I've given preliminary OK but not sure where or how that will go. The first radiologist that put the tube in the wrong place is the one we're mad about the most.
