Rare 7 Pocket Carbine Bando and 700 Rd Can Spotted

Fellow Member USGI BOB followed the sale of what must be a 'Ultra Rare' 7 pocket Bandoleer.
It was 5 Bandoleers in total all with 7 pockets. Each pocket filled with 2 stripper clips with 10 rds on each. A total of 140 LC 72 Rds per Bandoleer. Total Rds was 700 as shown on the Ammo box.

According to the Description: "The ammunition will be shipped in the .50 Cal Ammo Can shown in the first photo, which is the original GI can that the carbine ammo was distributed in."

I've attached pictures of the 7 Pocket Bandoleer and the Original can.
Not having a example of either in my collection I started right away searching for the same to add to mine. Best I could come across was a Bandoleer example Linked below from Ebay:

If all 5 bandoleers had strippers in good condition with built-in "spoons" like shown in the auction, they're worth quite a bit just by themselves these days. The "bando" components could probably be re-sold for $100-$150 or more if all the buyer wanted was the cartridges. I'm still puzzled about exactly what the seller used the stencils on - was it the ammo box and likely most of the individual cloth pockets?

I've got a 1080 rd can that a buddy had on his table at a local gun show about 5 years ago. Part way through the day I got over to his table to get a look at it, and he had already sold 3 of the 9 for $60-$75 each. I wish I could've have made it over there sooner, since he let me have the can with 6 left in it for $250. I dug out this picture after seeing this "special deal" on GB and asked Charlie to help figure out what I was looking at.

I'll have to remember that when I'm done shooting. Been buying from CMP once each year when it shows up on the estore. They send you a full bandoleer, with clips and spoons, one per customer. I slowed down my 30 carbine shooting during the pandemic, and haven't started shooting my surplus yet - still working through my supply of PPU.

Did you read the sellers description?

"INLAND M1 CARBINE STRIPPED RECEIVER. BUILT IN 1943. SERIAL NUMBER # 943S073 THIS IS A SAGINAW SUB CONTRACT RECEIVER"

Also see Sellers other Items. Can any one tell what that Carbine barrel is made from? Says it came off a Stan Pro but it isn't a GI Barrel. Looks like the forward 2/3rds is a sleeve without the narrow diameter near the sight like GI barrel.

LOOKS like a universal barrel, they had a set screw on the sight and a step. Their gas block looked a bit different, that one looks like a Plainsfield later gas block.

Yeah, I remember glancing at it and thought the S should have been an 8 since that's what I thought the receiver picture was showing. I have a 700K Inland with SG stamped on the left side near the front - went back and looked at the GB auction and don't see an SG on it (small or large).

So, are these with the "S" in the middle of the s/n something different than what I'm thinking the SG contract was? Everything about that "lop-sided" INLAND stamp and that s/n looks a bit phony. Do you think it's just the camera angle or something?

I believe Jimb thought the same as I did - a new high s/n! - and got a "Thanks" from Wayne.

Nope, you're not getting the truck - the Flathead V8 is not going to be replaced with a 350!
