Entering the XXI Century… Unwillingly, but not Unhappy!

Today, we had a group of people at our range for a shooting experience.
Very nice day, we all brought very nice guns to let them test shoot (in my case, a S&W 27-2, a Colt Officer’s Model Match in .22LR and my Enfield Trainer with Garandicon sights).
A friend brought his new Walther PDP Match with 5” barrel. He told me he wanted to sell it because he fell in love with .22LR rifles and his wife told him that he ought to choose.
    Well… I helped him out…
I shot 50 rounds in rapid fire (had a couple Parkinsons), and bought it…
    Somehow, I don’t feel guilty…
    Now I am “modern” too.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. I don't think I'll ever like modern guns. I have a Sig M17, still haven't fired it. I like that it holds 21 rounds but can't imagine needing 21 rounds for anything. I'm getting bypassed and I don't care. I used to see quite a few Savage 99 rifles in the deer woods but I haven't seen anyone but me and my father in years now. All plastic stocked bolt action Remington's or their clones. I do carry a Savage 110 in 17HMR. Gave up the old 22 for squirrels.
