I have progressive lenses now so I can read books no problem but for working on the rust on my guns and things, I'm always taking the glasses off and moving in very close. I won't be able to do that anymore and as I have no comparison, I don't know if I'll like it or not. Maybe with readers it compensates for this, I don't know. I'll probably head over to Walmart today and try some over the counter glasses to experiment with.
This is exactly the place I find myself in now. The new lens inserts also don't pass as much light to I find myself needing more light to read and am still finding it difficult, which is tough because I am a voracious reader and prefer physical books. Somewhere between my eyesight and the malaise left over from my son's death last year I'm finding it hard to get up the motivation to read. It's weird!
