But looking again now I think that's just the polarization in the lens.

My eyes this afternoon are almost the same dilation but I don't see all that sharp out of the left yet. Hoping it's just some healing time that's needed. I can see well enough to go without glasses but reading things is difficult. It could also be because it's totally out of focus due to the glasses lens in front of it.

Eye still feeling good, I had a minor head ache for a little today but not for long.
Pop your glasses off and look around. I had my optical shop replace the lens of the corrected eye with neutral glass and it really helped. In the time between when I had the second eye done and when they felt it was healed enough to prescribe, I bought a set of progressive readers at the drug store that really helped as well. When you get your new glasses it probably is going to be amazing to you.

I called the eye doctor (not the surgeon) to see about a neutral lens but they basically wouldn't do it and it would be after the other eye is done before they would have it anyway so I nixed that.

Checked at Walmart for reading glasses but couldn't decide which worked the best. I think I need to wait till the eye settles down a little more.

So I've had the runs for the past two days now. Seemed strange. Yesterday I attributed it to the anesthesia but it was back this morning. It's the eye drops. Who would have imagined that eye drops could cause this. Otherwise, I feel fine so I'm not likely to do anything about it. It's just in the morning in an case.

I'm apparently the first with the digestive issues even though it's all over the net as being a "common" possibility. They aren't changing anything as it isn't really doing me any harm.

The dialation is all gone now and my vision in the left without glasses is now equal to the right with glasses. As my right is the dominant eye, I can't just take the glasses off as my brain is still trying to process that side over the left. I don't think taking out the lens in the left will help either as objects are different sizes between the two eyes. Only way I can really function with the left eye is with a pirate patch on the right and that's uncomfortable.

The digestive issues seem to have passed. The eye seems to be settling down nicely. I can see everything on my dash and stearing wheel clearly while driving so the near vision is clearing up some also. I will need reading glasses. I'm struggling to read things at normal distances but I was expecting that. Now I just wish I could get the right eye done now as this is driving me crazy. Glasses on, left eye is a blur, glasses off, right eye is a blur but vision is nice and has bright colors I'm not used to. I can't do this for long however, the right dominate eye just keeps things more blurry than if the glasses are on.

Re. the digestive issues: I am on a trio of medicines for various conditions that each faithfully promise to cause diarrhea and nausea. I handled two well but the instant they added the third, it was off to the races. Right now it is rare to have a completely comfortable day. The day after taking the injected med, I am usually nauseated. I have to take an anti-nausea med that puts me to sleep. Fun living! BUT, as a result, I didn't notice any additional digestive issues after surgery, either! Benefits!

Went shopping for sunglasses and readers today. My wife isn't happy because the readers are very similar to my glasses and the sunglasses are the same as the ones I had when we started dating. Not sure what the problem is. Tom Cruise and Joe Cool wear them and they never go out of style obviously or they wouldn't still be selling them.

She actually wanted me to get blue frames with orange lenses. What the hell.

As a matter of fact, my new glasses have blue frames. The optician lady and my wife liked 'em.

A new factoid came to light during my process: I have blue eyes. They've got hazel down at the pupils but darned if they aren't blue. For sixty years I've though I have green eyes. My driver's license says so. But while fitting the blue frames, my optician lady said, "You've got the most beautiful blue eyes," and my wife agreed.

Surprise. Apparently I've not been one of those people who spends a lot of time gazing in the mirror.
