    Remington P14

Looking for help trying to determine what this stamp refers too. It's on the bottom of the fore stock of a P14 that has not gone thru the WRS, as it still has it's front and rear volley sights, stacking swivel and brass butt marking disc.

The stamping I'm wondering about is "AA" over "V" and now I will show how it actually looks on the fore stock...........

    AA
    V

    Thanks for looking.

Are there any national stamps on the rifle identifying the country from which it was issued? That info could be helpful for the "AA", as for the 'V' it is highly likely that stands for 'Volunteer'.

No there are not, unfortunately. Even the brass marking disc is free from any sort of markings.

Did Augusta Arsenal have "anything " to do with the P14?
