Also Barrel Markings
Hi,
now i am restoring my M 1917 and i found two markings on the underside of the barrel. Eventualy is there anybody of you who knows about the meaning of them? I am thankful for your help.

I can honestly say that I have never seen those specific marks before, who was the maker of the barrel?

Hi Dan,
The barrel was made by Winchester dated 10-18. He has the eagleheads, ordnance bomb and a T on it.

Yes, it is a Canadian
landlease with C Broad Arrow. Is this a proof mark ( pressure test) or so ?

I've seen the triangular mark on other M1917 Winchester barrels.
I don't think the C in a triangle in a circle is a Canadian
mark. Why would the Canadians mark the barrel under the wood where the mark can't been seen?
