Regardless of whether the rifle was restorable or not its a very interesting piece.

Forgot to upload these pics as you can see there are holes, plus an outline for a sightbase also have pic of reciever and barrel, you can see something has been there, as there are 2 holes one on the barrel and the other at rear of reciver which may not be that visiblein the pic, i would say have been filled in, probably with a stud and then filed flush , also at the very end a faint arrow so barrel was a military barrel, there is also an E with a circle around? Main concern is getting the barrel off as i think this will be a complete Bas***d to move but before i do i want to make sure i am not going to destroy a one off prototype, as i intend to use a parting off tool to take some meat off the barrel as close to the receiver as possible just to relieve some pressure on the threads and make life easy to remove the barrel.
