This will restore your faith in Americans
Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia. A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.
Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice.
The link below is a short travelogue of that day's remarkable and painful journey. But only watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in people restored. Please share widely. Well worth watching.

it is 2400 hours, couldn't sleep, had to see this and now I know where I would live if I needed to move. I am impressed and somehow I feel better about all this stuff going on in this world, I can 't believe those people would stand out on the road that long hot day, the South should be Proud.

Those roads and streets have been a part of my life for 33 years. The folks standing out in the heat, holding flags and saluting at the people I've known all my life. And SSGT. Beale is the sort of man who is worthy of all our honor. May God bless his loved ones. And May God Bless America! Sincerely. BruceV.
