I figured the hot tip was a plastic soda cap to hold down the button, but MAN, I just got one of these ultimate clip loaders and it is AMAZING. Dump 70-80 rounds in the hopper (and I mean DUMP), raise it up and down a couple of times and you get 15 or so rounds all lined up ready to go. You then insert MAGAZINE in the slot hole and the button is automatically held and the mag fills like magic. Take out mag and voila! You are done.

Filled 10 mags in less than 2 minutes. No sore thumb.

If you have not done so already, give the inside of the tool a little shot of Remoil from time to time to keep things moving freely. It makes a huge difference in performance. I ruined my first loader using silicon, which over time softened and ruined it. I also learned to spray the Remoil into the tool when it is empty rather than over the ammo inside. Spraying the Remoil over the ammo as suggested in the Cliploader literature led to a great number of duds and weak rounds. No such occurance when spraying the tool prior to loading.

This tool more than tripled my .22 lr ammo consumption. I will never be without one again.
