Thoughts on this M1A1 auction.
I thought that the Ordinance wheel should be at the bottom of the pistol grip?
Were some stamped this way? Thanks,

I'm not sure about the ordinance stamp, but my 1st production run M1a1 has the RI3 on the bottom of the grip.In my opinion if you can buy it for under 2K, BUY IT! That is if that is what you are looking for.

Ordinance wheel seems a little big, but I can only go by what I have observed and the ones I saw were smaller and nearer the bottom of grip.

stock may be real but that looks like a bogus wheel to me.

I had a co worker bring in Ruth's War Baby and on page 348. It looks like its correctly marked for the "second run" M1A1
. The smaller crossed cannon was used on the bottom of the first run M1A1's. Im curious to see the sale price of this one compared to the CMP
auctions. CMP gives a generic description and not so great pics and there going for top $.

We've discussed that here a great deal Gerry. CMP auctions often go much higher than than the actual market value.
