+1 to what John said. Life's too short to waste your time on morons. If you confront morons you'll just get upset because they won't understand the problem.

I have just now opened an e-mail from one of my church members. It might be of some application to this situation...

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck'.

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so...Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it! Have a blessed, garbage-free day!

They then proceeded to sit in the intersection, not allowing anyone behind them to exit the parking lot. I honked my horn when there was no trafic coming and they proceed to flip me the bird. Again I honked and they again repeated their jesture. Luckly for me I could back up and use a second exit. I tried to get their license plate number but the rear plate was covered by some circus sign and the front was missing. All I know was that it was 2 young girls driving a grey chevy nova from Indiana. Should I have called the police or what? Thanks.
Like most have said, just walk away.

You could call the police, but what would they have done? They're sitting at a stop sign & aren't going even when traffic is clear, but is that a violation of some sort that the police are going to get involved in? The cops most likely would have told you to just back up & go out the other exit, which is what you ended up doing.

You had already honked off the driver/passenger of the Nova. Not by anything that you did, necessarily, but just because You Were There. Don't compound that by making a totally un-necessary & useless 911 call & dragging the cops out & getting them urinated off, too . . . . .

BTW, Indiana only issues license plates for the rear of the vehicle. The front plate wasn't "missing", it's just that we don't issue one for the front of the vehicle.

Look at the bright side, eventualy they will encounter someone a lot meaner and their behaviour will have some nasty results, it's just a matter of time.

Three possible reasons, driver was on the cell phone, they were talking to each other, they could not see (my age or older), this is leaving out phar. reasons. You did right, don't try to control what you can't control.

Arguing with them will just make their day. Then they know they got to you.

Ignore the jerks, unless you really want to esculate the situation.

    Timmer,
I had a Redneck friend of mine here in GA. stop at a 711 to pick up a 12 pack of Bud one night, and some guy parked behind him and he had a heck of a time getting his PU truck out, but before he left he took the time to take a claw hammer he had in his PU truck and bust out the guys headlights and center punch his windshield. I ask him the next day when i found out about it, did it make him feel good? He said YEP!
So just let them go, and let some Redneck like my friend take care of them down the road, Readnecks always do a better job then the Police anyway, and no paper work.
    A Redneck from GA.....Boos.

There's also the chance this kind of behavior is done to cause an accident for insurance fraud. Been there, experienced that.

Another time some woman at the last minute just pulled from an exit ramp right broadside to me and stop because the opposing traffic was in the way. She saw it, she knew it and if I hadn't made a panicked stop she would have been hurting. I look at her and she flips me the big one. Only in America do you get such diversity.
