    Shooting Oppurtunities?

I just moved into the Anniston, AL area and am looking for local service rifle matches. Anyone know of any?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Don't know about the Anniston area, but check out the clubs in Birmingham and Huntsville. Check on the NRA website for NRA affiliated clubs for information.
Another thing: get yourself qualified to purchase from the CMPicon and buy M-1 Garands, M-1 Carbines, ammo and other goodies at excellent prices. See: CMP Sales
for eligibility requirements and what's for sale.

    Army range

The Army has a nice 1,000 yard range right next to you (Pelham Range), but they have been going out of their way to make it impossible to meet their rules. Most have been going to Tullahoma Tennessee for the 1,000 yd range there, but that is only 2-3 times per year. B & G in H'ville has 100 and 200 yd ranges, and a monthly NRA Hi Power match, an Old Bolt gun match in Jan. and an M-1 only match in Nov. or Dec. Also a pretty good cookout, then, too.
