A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... John, still trying to get the carbon crud out of the barrel and need to check the headspace before taking it to the range, but hope to do that soon. The MW is a 2.0 so it doesn't appear that it's had a lot of live ammo through it, but based on the carbon crud in the barrel, it's had a lot of blanks through it with verry little cleaning!!

just back from the range with the danish home guard eddystone. Boy does she shoot! factory 150gr remingtons, 5 shot, 1 7/8" group with two touching at 100yds. POI about 7" high at 100yds, prob about right for a 450yd battle sight. using the 200yd sight leaf, POI is almost half as high. very impressed. that danish target front sight does make a difference, i can spot my hold easily. no windage correction needed at that range. with a little trigger work to make it break a bit more cleanly, and practice, it may shoot minute of angle.

I've found my M1917 sight settings to be spot on out to 600yd if its zeroed to begin with at known distance. More than can be said for a LOT of other rifles I've tried!
