You would be surprised...........
Some years ago while serving as a range officer at our local DCM club, the once a year shooters suddenly appear during the Fall to sight in their hunting rifles. These guys bring out a double number of range officers for obvious safety reasons.
One fellow that I remember specifically brought his Remington 700 .338 Winchester Magnum to sight in. On a bench rest, he crawled up on that scope and before I had a chance to stop him, he delivered the most beautiful bloody ring around his eye from the scope and recoil. Lesson learned? Hardly.
The next Fall, the same guy with the same rifles does the same thing all over again!
