Value of 1903
I hope this is the place to ask this question. A shooter has offered to buy my 1903 so I'm asking the community the fair value. The stock is in excellent condition. I paid $200 last century ago so I'm sure it's worth more. I also have documentation dated 1949. I'll be happy to post other pictures if you require.

Given the condition and documentation shown in your photographs, I would not consider selling that 03 for less than $600-650 plus any S/H and FFL fees. Again given the condition, etc., I do not believe it could be replaced for less money. This in JMVHO. Sincerely. BruceV.

id say a bit more, a nice Remington in its original stock, with correct R marked metal will fetch a bit more. closer to 850.00 -1000.00
id have to see all the parts, bolt, trigger guard ect,
i see the stock still has the RLB Roy L Bowlins mark, that stock in itself would fetch 600.00 to the right guy.

does the trigger guard have an R stamped on the rear right side just behind the trigger loop, youll be able to see it just below the stock.
every part on that rifle should be marked R.
bayonet lug, bolt, safety sleeve, upper band, buttplate, rear sight. floor plate, follower, ect.

Ever part has an "R" except the butt plate. Thanks Chuck.

the buttplate will have it on the underside, youd have to remove the buttplate to see it,
as well for the lower swivle

This old soldier is being re-educated. Reading, Righting and Remington. Too many R's.

FWIW, I think Chuck is about right as far as what I'd sell it for. ($850 +)
But I wouldn't want to sell it!

I'm getting up in years and disposing of much of my collection. I know if my bride was left with my collection many would take advantage of her.
