You can save his image(s) after you click on them and processes them through simple photoshop or other. Add brightness, remove shadows, etc.

Member did a great job with the images and a really, really, neat find! Thanks!!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. A. F Medic -
This is the best I could do with Photoshop. (I'm sure there are better experts -
There wasn't a lot to work from because of the contrast in the original photos)

  4. Thank You to Harlan (Deceased) For This Useful Post:

I agree! Your images still hold my interest and shows even more of the special find of the forum member.

You might try to crop out the rug as much as you can. It's whiteness throws off the color balance of your attempts. I have had some luck with using a piece of cardboard to asorb stray light and reflection. JMHO..

I am still here just overwhelmed by the responce on this stock. What i thought was the work of a very board welder with no life turns out to maybe be one of the only surviving metal stock made by springfield armory in the early fifties. I guess i will take it off the nail its been hanging on in the garage for 20 years and put it in the safe. What do i do with it now???
