In late 1944 Underwood had a contracted quantity of 41,990 carbine slings at a cost of 21 cents each. There is a note that this is the highest contracted price to date. I do not know the actual manufacturer of Underwood's slings. This is the only "Stand Alone" contract for carbine slings from Underwood. The rest were slings delivered with their carbine contracts.
I used to have several Underwood slings, individual wrapped, khaki, and all were unmarked. All research shows no markings for any Underwood delivered slings.
By late 1944 all new contracts were Olive Drab. Another reason why this guy's sling is a fake.Information
