Thanks for all the replies and kind comments. The bore looks pretty good and if my dies come in I will be going to the range this weekend. This is the first Kragicon I have ever taken apart and when I disassembled the receiver I was amazed at the craftsmanship that went into machining it.

Any hints on where I can find a good quality repro sling?

    Repro krag slings

Google "Turner Slings" and you should find their website. The krag sling is unique, though some were used with the 03 Springfields rig late in the krags heyday.

Finally got my dies. Reloaded some .303 I had lying around. Got to the range this morning and it was packed and I was in a hurry, so I left. On the way home I took a backcountry road that borders a hunting preserve. Found a place with a nice backstop and fired 5 rounds at a paint can that was about 50 yards away. Hit it four out of five and what a sweet shooting rifle! Can't wait to shoot at paper from a rest and see just what she will do.
