Now I'm confused. Your stated s/n 11420X is about a year too early to have 'MODEL 1899' stamped on it. Would you double check the model stamping and the s/n. A close up picture would really help sort this out.
Please advice?

Sorry Chuck, I did not mean to confuse you. The receiver is stamped Model 1898. When I responded to your original post I copied a small part which was "receiver is stamped MODEL 1899" to emphases that I should have known that. Sorry for the confusion.
