Sounds like it was an MI converted to an MII. You can tell because the second "I" will rarely line up perfectly. Thats overpriced for a rebuilt MI in used shape........for $1500 or so it should be in mint, un-reissued condition. Duff has them from time to time in this shape.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a replacement barrel? I have an M2 that has the original black finish but a non-marked non-grasping groove stock, and someone cut the barrel off and put a ramped front sight on it.The serial # is 128x. I'm going to try and restore it and if not just enjoy shooting it as is. Thanks for any info.

There's an M2 barrel, new in the wrap, on Gunbroker. Auction # is 144292511, and it started at $499. Buy now is $530. Ouch!!!
