Just interjecting a little humor to the situation.

A restoration with original correct period USGI parts would have more value than a restoration with a fake acceptance stamp and fake parts with non period correct USGI parts. At least with the former your carbine would always be worth the sum value of the parts.

The sad thing about putting any fake parts/acceptance stamps on a carbine makes the entire carbine questionable and subjects it to intense scrutiny. Especially when this information is not disclosed up front.
