Probably from the OLD Joustericon forum, some things folks saved computer style, me, I have a 14" thick stack of UNSORTED Peter Laidlericon et al posts. Its probably in there somewhere! Try this query in the Lee Enfield Forum with ref. to Mr. Laidler's tutorial- who knows? Its worked before.

The way I took off my flash hider, first drive out the taper pins, Take 2 pieces of mild 1" square steel 4" long, clamp them together. Drill ¼” holes 3/4” from each end so you can bolt them together. Next take the two pieces bolted together and drill a hole 2” from the ends in the center of the seam. The diameter of hole is just larger than the barrel diameter at the flash hider. This will allow you clamp around the barrel under the flash hider. Note: diameter of hole is larger than the barrel so it can slide when clamp. Next turn a press pin slightly smaller than the hole where the flash hider and crown of barrel meet (used tool steel so it will not bend and only long as flash hider). I used a 12 ton press. You may have to remove stock to fit the rifle in press with flash hider pointing towards the ram. Clamp the two pieces around the barrel under the flash hide and place in press so your press plates support the two pieces and rifle. Take the press pin and place it in the flash hider and press out the barrel. If it doesn’t press out with reasonable pressure, ease off a little and apply heat to soften solder and press again. I used a lot of pressure before it moved.
