As a historical footnote the Colt .32 hammerless was Al Capone's personal carry gun.

The Colt Pocket Hammerless series greatest popularity came with their purchase by the military. From being issued to OSS agents to officers attaining the rank of Brigadier General, the pistols have a place in military weapon collecting.

That really would have been unusual since Patton was issued a .380 Colt Pocket Hammerless, and a friend presented him with a Remington Model 51 in .380 also. Neither had pearl grips.
General Patton was issued a Colt Pocket Hammerless .380, serial number 135170, and General Eisenhower was issued serial number 135171.
